Our magnificent third-floor suite features a sitting room, small kitchenette, and three bedrooms with a king (one room), queen (one room), full and single beds (one large room with a window nook for the single bed). It also offers a bath with a large shower and a sink set into an antique dresser. Featuring its own private balcony, the Nest is ideal for a sister outing, mini-retreat, and small groups of people. The town is so wonderful and friendly. I'm overwhelmed by the beauty of this place: the front entryway, with its rich, dark woods and fabrics from yesteryear, took my breath away. The inn is charming, very Victorian, and the ambiance is so enveloping.

There were 20 for breakfast this morning, and they all raved about their stay and the breakfast Adrian prepared. We sat out on the front porch in the wicker swing and listened to the train whistle as the train rolled through.

The songbirds were everywhere and we heard from an occasional cricket that hadn't turned in yet. Butterflies here and there, sunning themselves on the porch railing. Ah, the restfulness of it all . . .
